We are Ideal Networks Limited, (registered in England and Wales under company registration number 05815973), collectively referred to as “Ideal”, “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy Notice). We are experts in Networks, Security, Collaboration and Platforms. For our customers we act as a data processor. For visitors to this website we act as a data controller. In both cases we are responsible for protecting the personal data provided to us.

 

2. The information we collect about you and why

The information we collect about you depends on how you use our services, websites and any other contact you may have with us. The majority of this information is provided to us directly by you or your company or organisation, when contracting with us to deliver services or when you share contact details with us via our websites and other points of contact. Occasionally we will collect personal data about you that is provided by trusted third parties, where they have a legal basis to do so. We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you. For customers, suppliers and partners, the information we collect may include:

  • Identity Data includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier
  • Contact Data includes postal addresses, email address and telephone numbers
  • Business contact data such as job title, department and name of organisation
  • Financial Data including bank account details and transactions

We collect this information to enable us to meet the requirements of contractual agreements between us or to deliver other services that you request from us, including: provision of services and solutions; processing financial transactions, asking you for feedback; responding to requests for information; meeting legal and regulatory requirements. 3. How and why we share information

We may share information with third parties in the following instances:

  • We work with partners to identify opportunities to offer new and improved services
  • To analyse and enhance our communications and strategies (including by identifying when emails sent to you have been received, read and your location)

We may also disclose information about you:

  • If we are required to do so by law
  • In connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings

4. Information Security

Security is a priority for us and we have put in place significant technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. We safeguard your data through technology, quality management of our processes, and by ensuring all of our employees and partners work to our Information Security policy. We recognise that there is an on-going responsibility to continually improve via the use of new technology, process improvements, growing our expertise, understanding existing and new threats, and by working closely with our partners and customers. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and the ICO of a breach where we are legally required to do so. 5. Your rights and how to contact us

You have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data which enable you to:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction or ask us to restrict processing or deletion of your personal data
  • Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest
  • Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data

6. Policy Amendments

We may update this privacy policy from time-to-time by posting a new version on our website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes. We have made some key changes on 25th May 2018 in line with the general data protection regulation and our own efforts to be more transparent about the way we manage your data. We aim to provide a description of how and why we capture your data in clear and straight-forward terms and have outlined your rights as well as how to exercise those rights or to contact us should you have any concerns about our management of your data.
